{"id":18671,"date":"2020-12-18T12:04:46","date_gmt":"2020-12-18T10:04:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mu-sofia.bg\/?p=18671"},"modified":"2020-12-18T12:51:49","modified_gmt":"2020-12-18T10:51:49","slug":"faculty-of-public-health-at-mu-sofia-already-bears-the-name-of-prof-tzekomir-vodenicharov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mu-sofia.bg\/en\/faculty-of-public-health-at-mu-sofia-already-bears-the-name-of-prof-tzekomir-vodenicharov\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty of Public Health at MU-Sofia already bears the name of Prof. Tzekomir Vodenicharov"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In connection with the 25<sup>th<\/sup>\nanniversary of our Faculty of Public Health and especially for the significant\ncontributions of Prof. Dr. Tzekomir Vodenitcharov, MD to the development of the\nmedical science and to the establishment of the departments in the Faculty of Public\nhealth within the system of higher education in the Republic of Bulgaria, under\nDecision of the Academic Council at MU-Sofia as of 26.10.2020 the Faculty of\nPublic Health is given the name Faculty of Public Health &#8220;Prof. Dr. Tzekomir\nVodenicharov, MD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Faculty of Public Health is the youngest,\nbut the most dynamically developing unit within the structure of the Medical\nUniversity &#8211; Sofia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It all started with the idea, the concept, and the dream of Prof. Dr. Tzekomir Vodenitcharov, MD, who managed to make his vision a reality thanks to his creative way of thinking and contacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the past years the Faculty of Public\nHealth has proved that it is a Bulgarian project of European importance. It is\na modern university formation for introducing students and graduates in the\nspecific health science management &#8211; public health management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The founder and longtime Dean of the Faculty\nof Public Health prof. Vodenitcharov shares in his book &#8220;10 Principles of\nthe Medical Doctor and the Manager and&#8221; the know-how about building the\nacademic structure of the Faculty from its grounds until it gets its undeniable\nplace and authority, established itself as a leader of the change:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;What is actually the Faculty of Public Health: an idea of a product,\nbut also a hub to create ideas. It is the emanation of an idea, but also its\ninstitutionalization. As a generator of ideas, the Faculty of Public Health is\ndirectly interested in their materialization. That is why it is necessary to be\nin close relations with politics (parties, organizations, institutions) and\nbusinesses (private structures, entrepreneurs, managers).
