Online lecture series in Global Health organizes the Faculty of Public Health \u201cProf. Tz. Vodenicharov, PhD\u201d. The sessions will be led by a guest-lecturer \u2013 Prof. Rebecca Singer, DNP, ND, MA, RN from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing (USA).<\/p>\n\n

COVID-19 has made it very clear that health is a global concern. This global health lecture series will explore key concepts related to global health. They will provide foundational knowledge to understand how health concerns are global and what we can do to create a healthier world.<\/p>\n\n

The lectures are intended for medical students, students in Public Health, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and all Health care specialties. No specific requirements for your participation. The lectures will be held in English.<\/p>\n\n

Prof. Singer is a Fulbright Fellow and a visiting professor in MU-Sofia for the summer semester. Professor Singer has almost two decades of experience in global health and community partnerships. This work has taken her around the world to conflict zones, post-conflict zones and other unstable regions where she has collaborated to provide essential health care services to individuals, families, and communities in crisis. Additionally, she has partnered with coffee farmers to prevent cervical cancer and improve their lives and livelihoods.<\/p>\n\n

Recently Professor Singer established a Global Health Nursing Certificate Program at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing which strives to train health care providers with a global outlook and foundational knowledge in global health issues. \n \n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
