During the last 6 years Medical University \u2013 Sofia shared the first place in the professional field \u201cMedicine\u201d. Now it is the only leader according to the Rating system of the universities in Bulgaria for 2024. The data was delivered yesterday by the Ministry of Education and Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other achievement of our university is in the field of Pharmacy where we are on the first place with 7 scores more than the second one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year MU-Sofia is again the leader in the five fields of education and training. Thus, it is between the Top 3 of the elite universities in number of fields after Sofia University \u201cSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201d and Technical University \u2013 Sofia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traditionally Medicine, Pharmacy and Stomatology are the professional fields with the lowest level of unemployment (under 1%). This year Medicine and Stomatology are in the group of highest level of application (over 90%) of the acquired higher education graduates. In the list of the professional fields whose graduate students work in Bulgaria the largest share \u2013 over 94% is in Pharmacy together with Theory and management of education and Forestry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The largest share – 58% of the international students are trained in Medicine, Stomatology \u2013 (47%) and Veterinary medicine (31%). Pharmacy is also a professional field with a lot of international students \u2013 about 14%. This year the Bulgarian universities are leaders in the percentage of international students on the Balkans \u2013 9% of all the students are international in comparison with 4% in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The three professional fields with many students in 2024 in our country are the same as in the previous year \u2013 Economy \u2013 25 383, Pedagogy \u2013 16 448 and Medicine \u2013 13 265 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rating system in Bulgaria compares the performance of 51 accredited higher schools which educate and train students in 52 professional fields on the base of a lot of data. The information is measuring different aspects of the educational process: science activity, educational environment, social and administrative services, the prestige and the regional significance of the higher schools, as well as the realization of the graduates on the labor market. The new trend for this year was the implemented indicator for first generation with higher education in the family and the differentiation for the expected salary according to qualification degree. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
