An Info day for the European Erasmus+ programme was held in the Anatomical Auditorium of the MBK of MU-Sofia on 27.02.2025. Over 100 Bulgarian and foreign students came to learn more about the funding opportunities for mobility abroad.
The event was hosted by Prof. Ventsislava Pencheva-Genova, MD, PhD, Vice Rector for International Integration and Project Funding. The event was attended by Prof. Krasimira Yoncheva, DSc, Vice Rector for Science and Accreditation, and the Director of the Medical College, Prof. Maya Vizeva, MD, congratulated the students and wished them success in participating in the program. On behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Vice-Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vlayko Vodenicharov, MD, delivered a welcome address.
The Head of International Integration & Project Department, Prof. Antoniya Yanakieva, PhD, presented the next stages in the development of Erasmus+ programme, especially in the framework of the European University INGENIUM, in which MU-Sofia is a partner HEI. The alliance offers new forms of exchange for students, beyond traditional mobility – for example, thematic schools lasting several days as 10 DAYS INGENIUM Schools.
The students had the opportunity to ask questions and meet in person with the experts from the Erasmus+ team and the academic coordinators. The success stories of program participants were presented, and the three students with the most mobilities for the year 2024 received a special award from the university’s Erasmus+ team.
