Scimago Institutions Rankings

The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a classification of academic and research-related institutions and universities ranked on three sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation performance and societal impact as measured by their web visibility. The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) of research institutions in the world has been prepared since 2009 by the organization that unites the Spanish National Research Council, the University of Granada, the Carlos III University of Madrid, the University of Alcalá, the University of Estramadura and others.

QS World University Rankings 2022

The QS World University Rankings 2022 features 1,300 universities from around the world for its 2022 edition, with each institution rated on six key metrics from academic reputation to the number of international students enrolled. There are six separate sub-rankings to the ranking: QS Rankings by Subject, QS Sustainability Rankings, QS Best Student Cities, QS Business Masters Rankings, QS Global MBA Rankings and QS International Trade Rankings. The main criteria by which they are ranked are: academic reputation, number of citations, H-index, reputation among employers and the newly introduced indicator – international research network.

U-Multirank: 2022 World University Rankings

U-Multirank is a multidimensional, user-oriented, international ranking of higher education institutions that compares the performance of higher education institutions in the five dimensions of university activity: (1) teaching and learning, (2) research, (3) knowledge transfer, (4) international orientation and (5) regional engagement. The U-Multirank web tool allows comparisons at the university level as a whole and at the level of specific study programs. Based on empirical data, U-Multirank compares institutions with similar institutional profiles (“like with like”) and allows users to develop their own personalized rankings by selecting indicators according to their own preferences.

URAP TURKEY RANKINGS

URAP is a non-profit organization that was established in the Institute of Informatics of the Middle East Technical University in 2009. URAP team members are METU researchers who voluntarily participate in the research analytical part. The main objective of URAP is to develop a ranking system for the world’s universities based on academic performance indicators that reflect the quality and quantity of their scientific publications. In line with this goal, URAP has been publishing the World Ranking of Higher Education Institutions annually since 2010. The latest rankings include 2,500 higher education institutions worldwide, as well as 41 different specialized scientific fields.

UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2022

The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is a ranking to identify leading university green campuses that pursue an active institutional policy for environmental and climate sustainability. The initiative started by Universitas Indonesia in 2010 as through 39 indicators in 6 criteria, the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings determines the ranking according to the environmental commitments and initiatives of the universities. The methodology in the ranking covers 6 large sections with indicators: Material educational base and infrastructure, Energy and climate change, Waste and treatment system, Water resources, Transportation on campus, as well as Quality of education.

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR)

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) is a leading consultancy providing policy advice, strategic insights and consultancy services to governments and universities to improve educational and research performance. Since 2012, CWUR has published a global academic ranking of universities from around the world that assesses the quality of education, employability, quality of teaching and research, without relying on surveys and university-submitted data. The ranking started as a project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to rank the world’s top 100 universities. In 2019, the ranking expanded to list the top 2,000 out of nearly twenty thousand universities worldwide, making it the largest academic ranking of global universities.

THE (Times Higher Education) Ranking 2022

THE (Times Higher Education) has been providing reliable data on university performance for students and their families, academics, university leaders, governments and industry since 2004. The rankings cover the three main areas of university activity: research, impact and teaching. THE World University Rankings provides a list of the best universities in the world, with an emphasis on the research mission. This is the only global university league table that rates research universities across all of their core missions: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, revenue and reputation); citations (research impact); income from industry (knowledge transfer) and an international perspective (staff, students and research). It uses 13 calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons.

The "Webometrics Ranking of World Universities"

The Webometrics World University Rankings is an initiative of the Cyber Metrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), Spain’s largest public research body. CSIC is among the first basic research organizations in Europe. In 2006, the CSIC consisted of 126 centers and institutes distributed throughout Spain. The specific areas of research include: Development of Web indicators to be applied on the areas of the Spanish, European, Latin American and World R&D; Quantitative studies about the scientific communication through electronic journals and repositories, and the impact of the Open Access initiatives; Development of indicators about resources in the Society of Information; Indicators and social networks visualization on the Web with friendly, dynamic and interactive graphic interfaces; Design and evaluation of documentary analysis techniques of Web resources; Genre studies applied to the scholarly activity on the Web; Development of applied cyber metrics techniques based on the positioning on search engines of Web domains; Analysis of the information usage through Web data mining of log files.

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) - Shanghai Ranking

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) – Shanghai is a recognized ranking system and the forerunner of the Global University Rankings. ARWU presents the world’s top 1,000 research universities each year based on a transparent methodology and objective third-party data.

2022-2023 Best National Universities | US News Ranking

The ninth annual ranking of the best global universities in the U.S. News & World Report compares universities worldwide. As more and more students plan to enroll in universities outside their own country, the Best Global Universities ranking, which focuses specifically on academic research and the reputation of schools as a whole, rather than their individual undergraduate or graduate programs, helps these applicants accurately compare institutions around the world. The overall ranking of the best global universities covers 2,000 top institutions, up from 1,750 the last edition, spread across 95 countries, up from 90 the last edition. The first step in producing these rankings, which are powered by Clarivate™, involved creating a pool of 2,011 universities that were used to rank the top 2,000 schools.
