Students Teodor Serbezov, Filip Naydenov, Georgi Lambov, and Nikolay Kostov from the third year at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the Medical University – Sofia have been awarded funding for an innovative project under the European program INGENIUM-university.eu.
The project focuses on the development of an ergonomic forearm-mounted plate for dental practitioners, designed to improve access to dental instruments during procedures and enhance both comfort and clinical efficiency.
As coordinators and lead organizers, the MU-Sofia students will direct the ergonomic research and prototype development of the device. In this effort, they will collaborate with students from bioengineering specialties at the University of Iași, Romania, and the Technological University of Cork, Ireland, who will support the engineering and technical aspects of the innovation.
This project exemplifies successful interdisciplinary and international collaboration within the INGENIUM alliance and highlights the active involvement of MU-Sofia students in research and innovation at a European level.
The development of the project can be followed in future announcements, as well as on social media.
