On February 3, the regular briefing session for the project teams of the Medical University of Sofia (MU-Sofia), involved in the activities of the INGENIUM European University, took place. These meetings serve as a platform to discuss current issues, share upcoming initiatives, and provide updates on the results achieved by MU-Sofia within the framework of the European University INGENIUM.
During the meeting, key events were presented, including the upcoming 10 Days of INGENIUM at XAMK in Mikkeli, Finland, and the summit at the University of Oviedo in Spain.
The strategic priorities for the next 7-year program period were outlined, focusing on several key areas: strengthening and developing the Student Board within INGENIUM European University; mobilizing all university units; fostering interaction with both European and non-European institutions; enhancing collaboration with EU entities; and establishing INGENIUM European University as a recognized legal entity.
Achievements to date were reviewed, and upcoming initiatives within all work packages were discussed. A general budget was approved, and the report on the quality system was submitted to the EC on time. Plans for organizing language courses and building a platform for academic content were announced. Furthermore, the guidelines for accrediting mobility and opportunities to apply for various programs within INGENIUM European University were clarified.
A platform to promote partnerships and cooperation among teachers is being developed under the Staff Academy initiative. Significant progress is also being made in developing compatible doctoral programs, with MU-Sofia contributing three thematic doctoral programs in AI, sustainable development, and well-being. Additionally, various initiatives related to sustainable development were presented, and an upcoming event to create traditional martenitsa branded with the INGENIUM European University logo was announced.
