Implementation of Outgoing Student Mobility for Internship under Erasmus+ KA171 with University “Fehmi Agani”, Kosovo

As part of the implementation of project Contract No. 2022-1-BG01-KA171-HED-000074631, under the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme, three students from the Faculty of Public Health “Prof. Tzekomir Vodenitcharov, MD, DSc” successfully completed a two-month internship mobility between February and April 2025 at Fehmi Agani University in Gjakova, Kosovo.

The students – Violeta Despotova, Teodora Kumanova, and Elina Simeonova – undertook their internships at the “Isa Grezda” Hospital in Gjakova, gaining hands-on experience across various clinical units. The mobility offered them the chance to observe and engage with the healthcare practices and standards upheld by the host institution, enriching their professional knowledge and skills.

Reflecting on their experience, the students shared:
“Our time in Kosovo was both inspiring and transformative. We met many young people whose positivity, motivation, and dedication to learning left a deep impression on us. We were also fortunate to be guided by outstanding faculty members – knowledgeable, approachable, and deeply committed to our learning, especially in the fields of healthcare and health promotion.

Kosovo welcomed us as a safe and vibrant country, full of warm-hearted and generous people. We were captivated by its rich cultural heritage, traditions, and the delicious local cuisine that added flavor to our daily experiences. We forged meaningful friendships and built emotional connections that will stay with us for life. Given the chance, we would return without hesitation.”

This successful mobility underscores the value of international collaboration in higher education and highlights the mutual benefits of the Erasmus+ Programme for students, institutions, and host communities.
