Join the SDGs Hackathon online event during INGENIUM Sustainability Week – 12–13 November!
As part of INGENIUM Sustainability Week in November, you are invited to participate in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Hackathon, an online event taking place on 12–13 November. Over two days, you will collaborate to design creative and feasible solutions to real-world sustainability challenges.
The hackathon will bring together up to 100 students online from all ten INGENIUM partner universities and partner institutions in developing countries, working in different teams of five to six people. Together, you will explore issues such as campus resilience to climate change, waste management, student well-being and energy monitoring. The aim is to combine entrepreneurship with collaboration, creating prototypes and concepts that can be implemented on INGENIUM campuses across Europe.
The SDG Hackathon is a chance to think outside the box, connect with different cultures and disciplines, and take action on sustainability challenges that affect us all. Through the hackathon, you will be empowered to be an agent of change, while learning from your own perspectives and experiences.
In addition to solving case studies, you will benefit from mentoring, short lectures, and feedback from an international jury. You will receive a digital badge for your participation. The jury will consist of several sustainability experts from partner universities or associated partners. The jury will award points to the teams based on pre-agreed criteria, such as the feasibility of the project and its connection to the SDGs.
By focusing on topics that directly impact life at the university and society at large, the SDG Hackathon reflects INGENIUM’s commitment to sustainability and empowering the next generation of problem solvers.
