An essay competition on the topic ‘Diversity in all its forms – cultural, religious, ethnic, sexual, etc.’ was organized by ‘Y. Filaretova’ Medical College as a part of the “Diversity Week” initiative under the INGENIUM project – European University. The jury awarded the works of the following students:
First place – Elis Trohleva, specialty “Pharmacist Assistant”;
Second place – Debora Velkova, specialty “Medical Laboratory Assistant”;
Third place – Sofia Stoyanova, specialty “Medical Cosmetics”;
Fourth place – Elena Apostolova, specialty “Dental Technician”.
“Dear students, your essays not only demonstrated thought, sensitivity and style – they made us think, see the world through the eyes of others, and rediscover the value of difference,” said the Director of the college, Prof. Maya Vizeva, in her speech.
Assoc. Prof. Neli Gradinarova presented ‘INGENIUM – European University’ project to the students.
‘INGENIUM embodies the heterogenity of European higher education, diverse in geography, cultural background, organization and activities. Diversity makes us complementary in both education and research. It offers us a perfect platform for cooperation and a great opportunity to learn from each other, striving for high achievements in education and research,’ explained Assoc. Prof. Gradinarova.
The participants in the contest received certificates for their good performance.
