Students and academic staff at MU–Sofia have the opportunity to receive additional financial support under the Erasmus+ Programme when they choose environmentally friendly means of travel (“green travel”) to their host country.
Green travel refers primarily to journeys made by:
- train
- bus
- car-sharing (carpooling)
Participants who opt for sustainable travel are eligible for additional financial support, which is provided on top of the standard individual grant under the programme.
This initiative is designed to encourage a reduction in the carbon footprint of mobility and to support the Erasmus+ objectives in the field of environmental sustainability.
How to apply
When preparing for your mobility, you should:
- Declare your intention to use green travel when signing your mobility documents;
- Submit relevant travel documents (tickets, invoices, etc.) as proof upon completion of your journey;
- Familiarise yourself with the International Department’s guidelines regarding eligible costs and procedures.
