The Bulgarian working team of the INGENIUM European University gathered for its 1st working meeting in the Rectorate of MU-Sofia. The team includes representatives of the management, of the Central Medical Library, of the Department of Language Training and Sports, as well as leading experts from the teaching and administrative staff. In the first year of project implementation, it is expected to attract students from all educational levels and student representatives.
The European university alliance INGENIUM unites 10 prestigious universities under the banner of the Erasmus+ Program. The consortium’s summit a week ago in Oviedo, Spain laid the foundations for the work program for the next 4 years and outlined the distribution of tasks and agreed on specific objectives for this period.
MU – Sofia is the leader of the Alliance’s key work package WP2 “Building a cohesive cooperation framework”, which will create the strategic framework for common cooperation by common management structures, shared programs and common degrees. The creation of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs, as well as teaching and research exchanges in the various areas of specialization of the partners, is envisaged.
The project was presented by Prof. Dr. Tsvetalina Tankova, Ph.D., Deputy Rector for International Integration and Project Financing, who heads the Bulgarian team as an academic coordinator.
The new approach to create shared inter-university European campuses with common administrative and teaching resources, with common study programs, “open degree” degrees and qualifications also aims to increase the mobility between students, teachers and administrative staff of the consortium.
