This week in Skövde, Sweden, representatives of some of the higher education institutions, part of the INGENIUM European University, gathered. The meeting was part of the Boosting Ingenium for Excellence project, BI4E, which includes eight universities from the alliance. BI4E mainly focuses on cooperation and exchange of experience between higher education institutions, around research and innovation, entrepreneurship and cooperation.
The program included a presentation by Mikael Eidebeck, Vice Rector for Internationalization at the University of Skövde and host of the meeting. He presented the organizational structure, the function of the rector, the institutions and the various educational areas in the university.
The representative of Medical University – Sofia, Ms. Magdalena Kasnakova, an expert from the “International Integration and Project Financing” department, shared her impressions right after the presentation: “We received valuable information about the university and how it is organized. Yes, there are differences, but there are also quite a few similarities between the University of Skjovde and our University in Sofia. We have about the same number of students, but with us 60 percent of our students are foreign. In terms of sustainable development, we can take a lot of good practice from colleagues.” After the meeting in Sweden, the working group will travel to Cork, Ireland, where they will visit the Munster University of Technology.
