The results from the rating ranking of universities in Bulgaria for the year 2023 are now clear. After MU-Sofia briefly dropped from first place in the “Health Care” field, this year it is once again the leader in all five fields in which it offers education.
In the field of Medicine, we have 73 points, sharing the first place with MU-Plovdiv.
In the field of Dental Medicine we have 60 points.
In the direction of Pharmacy we have 72 points.
In the direction of Public Health, we have 68 points.
We have 60 points in the field of Health care.
“Medicine”, “Pharmacy”, “Dental medicine” are among the fields that provide the lowest unemployment (below 1%) and the highest degree of application (over 90%) of the acquired higher education.
The largest share (over 94%) of graduated students in the fields of “Pharmacy”, “Theory and Management of Education” and “Military Affairs” remain and are secured in Bulgaria, and the largest share of foreign students is in the fields of “Medicine ” (57% of active students), “Dental medicine” (46%) and “Veterinary Medicine” (31%).
The three professional fields with the most active students in 2023 in the country are “Economics” with 24,906, “Pedagogy” (16,900) and “Medicine” (12,660 students).
The data show a continuing trend to increase the number and influence of scientific publications of Bulgarian higher education institutions registered in global bibliographic databases.
The rating system compares the performance of 51 accredited higher education institutions offering training in Bulgaria within 52 professional fields based on dozens of indicators measuring various aspects of the educational process, scientific activity, the educational environment, the offered social and administrative services, prestige and regional importance of higher schools, as well as the realization of graduates on the labor market.
