In connection with the implementation of the project Contract N 2022-1-BG01-KA117-HED-000074631 from the Erasmus + Programme KA 117 and the implementation of mobility for training at the Medical University- Sofia in the period 07.04. – 11.04.2025 our institution was visited by prof. Mohamed El Azami El Idrisi.
Professor El Idrisi is an immunologist and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the partner university Sidi Mohammed bin Abdellah, Fes, Marocco.
During his stay at the Medical University – Sofia prof. El Idrissi was given access and the opportunity to train in the various clinical units, part of the University’s structure such as the Central Clinical Laboratory, Clinic of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Hospital ISUL, Clinic of Propaedeutics and of Internal Diseases “Prof. Stoyan Kirkovich”.
In the Central Clinical Laboratory headed by prof. Svinarov the guest from Morocco received access to the modern equipment for early diagnosis, drug therapy management, prevention and control of the disease process.
In the Clinic of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology he observed the therapies of patients with congenital blood diseases, got acquainted with the methods of chemotherapy of all malignant and other tumors and blood diseases in children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, etc.
In the Clinic of Propaedeutics and Internal Diseases prof. El Idrisi was introduced to the methods of treatment of acute, exacerbated and chronic diseases of the respiratory system, cardio-vascular and digestive system.
Professor El Idrisi also held meetings at the Rector’s Office of the Medical University – Sofia with prof. Ventsislava Pencheva-Genova, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Integration and Project Funding and prof. Antonia Yanakieva, PhD, Head of IIPF as well as with the representatives of the International Office at the Rectorate.
The future development of the relationship between the two partners Sidi Mahamed bin Abdellah and the Medical University – Sofia was discussed at the meetings.
Initial steps for the preparation of the continuation of the current project were also discussed. Possible topics and disciplines, number and type of mobilities to be set.
