The 4-year Boosting Ingenium for Excellence (BI4E) project comes to an end

A final closing meeting of the Boosting Ingenium for Excellence project brought together representatives of the eight partner universities, including MU-Sofia was held at the University of Oviedo, Spain.

The leadership of MU-Sofia was represented by Prof. Dr. Ventsislava Pencheva, MD, Vice-Rector for International Integration and Project Financing, Prof. Antonia Yanakieva, Head of the IIPF Department, Prof. Magdalena Kondeva, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy (online participation) and experts.

The meeting was held under the motto “Passing the Torch: The Legacy of BI4E and the Next Step for INGENIUM”. The partners analyzed the activities carried out under the project, as well as what has been achieved over the years in support of the creation of a European Ingenium University. The leaders of the various thematic work packages presented the results of their work. MU-SOFIA, leader of Work Package 3 “Enhancing Institutional Transformation: Improving Governance and Resource Provision”, also presented the main highlights of the project activities.

Within the BI4E project, the establishment of a network of Technology Transfer Offices was approved and symbolically signed, which is expected to continue its activities under the auspices of the European University Ingenium.

The future activities of the partners were discussed in separate panel discussions on the following topics:
“The BI4E research experience: excellence, integrity and new synergies”;

“Embedding project results and BI4E and the Strategic Advisory Board in the European University INGENIUM”;
“From BI4E to the world: Empowering entrepreneurship and scaling innovation through technology transfer and service catalogs”.
Representatives of MU-Sofia actively participated in two of the panels.

A general meeting of the Project Monitoring Committee and the Strategic Advisory Board, at which they gave their findings and conclusions on the work within the BI4E project, put formally an end to the event.
