Twice a year the INGENIUM European University organizes the alliance’s biggest event, 10 Days of INGENIUM, where students and staff from all the partner universities meet face-to-face to work together, exchange ideas and share best practices.
The upcoming sixth edition of 10 Days of INGENIUM will take place in winter 2026 and will be hosted by “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Romania (26–30 January) and the University of Skövde, Sweden (02–06 February).
Medical University – Sofia invites students in bachelor’s and master’s programs, doctoral students and early career researchers. Representatives of the academic community can participate as mentors, trainers, and keynote speakers, as well as participants in the academic sessions.
The event will bring together students and academics from all 10 INGENIUM member universities in Europe, featuring on-site and hybrid activities that will allow participants to engage and gather information of interest, including workshops, team-building, outdoor activities, informal networking, and cultural activities.
The main themes of this winter edition are centered upon:
- bridging science and industry to co-create innovative solutions with real-world impact
- ensuring the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies
- applying sustainability in action across ecological, economic, and social dimensions
- strengthening intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration to foster resilience and inclusion
Eligibility:
Students from the four faculties of MU-Sofia (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Public Health) can participate in the program.
• Bachelors can only apply for the Junior Winter School at the University of Skövde, Sweden.
• Masters and PhD students can only apply for the Winter Senior School at the Technical University of Iași “Giorge Asachi” in Iași, Romania.
Requirements:
- Participants must be in their 1st to 5th year of study or be PhD candidates.
- A minimum English language proficiency level of B2 is required.
- Students must apply using their institutional email addresses.

Funding:
All travel and accommodation costs for the INGENIUM summer school are covered by the project budget as well as by the Erasmus+ program.
