An information day for the European Erasmus+ program for MU-Sofia students was held on February 24, 2026 in the Aula of “Maichin Dom” Hospital. Those wishing to participate in student mobility learned more about the program opportunities, met with faculty coordinators and heard personal stories from their colleagues who have already traveled within Erasmus+.
The event was hosted by the Vice-Rector for International Integration and Project Financing, Prof. Ventsislava Pencheva-Genova, MD. The meeting with the students was attended by the Secretary General of MU-Sofia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vidin Kirkov, MD, the Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Anzhelika Velkova-Monova, MD and Prof. Krasimira Yoncheva, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Bulanov, MD, and the Director of the Medical College “Yordanka Filaretova” Prof. Maya Vizeva, MD.
The university Erasmus+ team presented the concept of the program, next stages in its development, the alliance of the European University INGENIUM , in which MU-Sofia is a partner, as well as the very algorithm for applying for mobility. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and met in person with the people from the Erasmus+ program team and the academic coordinators by faculty.
At the end of the event, the opening of the application for Erasmus+ mobilities in the academic year 2026/2027 was announced.
