The Open Day for prospective students at MU-Sofia was held with great interest on Saturday, March 7.
Over 450 potential prospective students and parents, divided into two groups, came to see the presentation of the various majors and to ask the questions that concern them.
The event was led by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of MU-Sofia, Prof. Anzhelika Velkova-Monova, DMS, who welcomed the participants and presented the deadlines and requirements for applying for the master’s degrees in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, as well as for the majors at the “Yordanka Filaretova” Medical College.
The assessment criteria and other guidelines for the biology and chemistry exams were presented by Assoc. Prof. Venera Nikolova, DBS and Prof. Alexander Zlatkov, DFS, representatives of the examination committees.
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Public Health “Prof. Tzecomir Vodenitcharov, MD, DSc”., Prof. Todor Kundurzhiev, MD spoke about the application process for the various specialties there. The Chairman of the Student Council Zahari Vlaykov told the young people more about student life at the university.
An important part of the Open Day was the information tour of the classrooms of the Medical-Biological Complex of the university. It was implemented with the help of lecturers from the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology and the Department of Medical Microbiology, as well as volunteers from the Student Council at MU-Sofia.
