For a consecutive year Medical University – Sofia accepted ten Russian students from the First Moscow State Medical University “I. M. Sechenov“, who will take two-week summer internship at the university hospitals, divided into two directions – medicine and dental medicine and will have the opportunity to observe the work of some of the best medical teams in our country.
Prof. Dr. Victor Zlatkov, MD, Rector of the MU – Sofia, and Prof. Radomir Ugrinov, MDSc, Vice Rector of International Integration and Project Financing Department and Postgraduate Studies, held a meeting with the students and presented to them the history of the University. The students, in turn, shared their first impressions from Bulgaria and told about the educational system in Russia.
After the completing of the Russian students’ internships, ten students from MU – Sofia, specialized in Medicine and Dentistry, will complete the same practice at Sechenov University in Moscow. This scientific exchange is possible thanks to the long-standing efforts of the two universities and the mutual Memorandum of Cooperation, signed in 2017 year. All this is a prerequisite for further deep relations between the institutions.
