Dental Medicine student Marina Valerieva Miteva returned with the first prize from the prestigious London competition for the Robert Frank Award – Junior with a presentation on “Characterization and Differentiation of Oral Mesenchymal Cell Cultures”.
The award is named after the founder of CED (Central European Division) of the IADR and aims to distinguish students with original, innovative ideas and high contributions to the field of dental medicine research. Marina Miteva is a 5th year student at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Medical University – Sofia. She was among the participants in the competition, who were admitted to the final round, who presented in addition to the obligatory poster and a 5-minute oral presentation, followed by an individual discussion for each.
The prestigious International Scientific Forum International Association for Dental Research was held from July 25 to July 28 for the 96th time, with Bulgarians taking part in it for the first time. Along with it was the Congress of the Pan-European Division of the IADR. This forum has traditionally been attended by a number of internationally recognized scientists in the field of dental medicine.
