ECTS MA, is an association whose members are medical faculties from the European Union (including Switzerland and Norway).
The aim of this association is the optimization of the exchange of Medical Students within the E.U. using the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
This year’s annual meeting, which took place between 04-06 May, was held at the University of Tartu with more than 50 participants, including Medical University Sofia as members of the association.
During the 3-day program, a variety of topics and workshops unfolded, some of which were:
- INTERNATIONALISATION IN MEDICINE
- Erasmus+ international dimension
- BEST PRACTICES, EXAMPLES OF STUDENT AND STAFF EXCHANGE
- WORKSHOP 1 & 2 about “Welcome services to the exchange students” and “Inclusive Erasmus+”
- Experience and challenges from the COVID19 pandemic
During the last day of the program, which started with the discussion of important issues regarding the effect of the pandemic, the partners from the University of Tartu organized a special social program with a 2 jm hikinking in Valgesoo bog where the participants had the opportunity to immerse in the nature in Estonia
Next year Medical University – Sofia will be the host of the ECTSMA Annual Meeting when 20 years of the establishment of the organization will be celebrated
