The Medical University – Sofia has the most history and achievements, it is associated with several important trends. First of all, the almost zero unemployment of graduates and their high salary. And last but not least – it has a very high contribution to the two-fold increase in foreign students. This is a very serious boom, and the reasons for it will be studied in time.
With these words, the Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Galin Tsokov, presented the award to the Rector of the Medical University – Sofia, Prof. Boycho Landzhov. He attended the ceremony for presenting awards to the universities that are first in their fields in the rating of higher education institutions. The hosts of the event were “24 Chasa” and the Deputy Chairman of KRIB, Prof. Nikolay Valkanov, in whose building NV Tower in the capital the event was held for the eighth time in a row.
The higher education institution is in first place in the professional fields of “Healthcare”, “Medicine”, “Public Health”, “Dentistry” and “Pharmacy”.
Medical universities, and in particular MU – Sofia, are the face of our higher education, a very important model – they are research-based, a large part of science in Bulgaria takes place in them, announced Prof. Tsokov.
The rating was defined by the minister as very important because it changed the face of Bulgarian higher education.
