Students enrolled as volunteers from the different faculties of MU-Sofia are already 100. Medical professionals are the most vulnerable in the conditions of a coronavirus pandemic. Our students have been with front line doctors since the beginning of the emergency situation. They work in hospitals that accept COVID-19 infected patients, including medical students, pharmacists, nurses, midwives, rehabilitators, laboratory assistants and other public health majors.
On the University’s website, for those interested in further information, has been published answers to the question “How to become a volunteer?”. It should be reminded that as early as mid-March, the university management decided that the time spent by all volunteers (students, postgraduates and PhD students) participating in the campaign to care for patients with suspected illnesses or sick from Covid-19 should be considered as educational employment.
