Medical University-Sofia is ranked 1537th among the best 2000 universities in the world, according to the Global 2000 ranking. This places it among the top 7.3% of a total of 21,291 institutions, evaluated and included in the largest academic ranking of world universities.
The list is prepared by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), which evaluates higher education institutions according to four factors, and does not rely on surveys and data provided by the universities themselves:
- education (25%)
- scientific research (40%)
- suitability for employment (25%)
- teaching staff (10%)
The other Bulgarian higher education institution in the ranking is Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
