The Faculty of Public Health and the Medical College “Yordanka Filaretova”, with the assistance of the Department of International Integration and Project Funding at Medical University – Sofia, organized the second international Erasmus Staff Week entitled “Innovations in Public Health Education”, from 1st to 5th October 2018. The purpose of the event was to expand the international collaboration and establish new contacts and share the best teaching practices in the field of public health and medical care.
26 lecturers from different universities from the following countries: Poland, Lithuania, Italy, Romania, Portugal, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia and Finland participated in the event. For the first time, colleagues from universities outside the European Union, including Macedonia and Indonesia, also took part. Various events, such as presentations, workshops on different topics and an Erasmus meeting with academic faculty coordinators were set up in the events’ program to expand international contacts.
Social events such as “Meet me with your country”, a cultural program with visits to tourist attractions in Sofia and the surrounding areas were also organized.
