Twice a year the INGENIUM European University organizes the 10 DAYS OF INGENIUM event. This year, the first event of the alliance, of which Medical University – Sofia is a part, is hosted by the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany and the University Gabriele d’Annunzio in Chieti and Pescara, Italy.
The INGENIUM Junior Summer School for students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from partner universities from Italy, Romania, Germany, Bulgaria, Ireland, Finland, Greece, Spain, France and Sweden started this week in the German city of Karlsruhe.
Professors, staff and representatives of the management staff of the higher education institutions also participate as mentors and lecturers. In addition to the student program, numerous seminars on non-discriminatory and socially engaged higher education, good practices in innovative teaching, project development and group work are planned.
The first INGENIUM Summer School is dedicated to improving skills in language, culture and diversity, and brings together students from all 10 members of the European alliance. In Karlsruhe, they will research and create models that promote interdisciplinary cooperation and intercultural understanding. Through interactive seminars, lectures and cultural activities, students will develop some basic German language skills, expand their cultural competence and gain an understanding of European society, from the perspective of a foreign student in Karlsruhe. The program aims to improve students’ skills for academic, personal and professional growth, and collaboration.
The second part of 10 DAYS OF INGENIUM reviews matters such as health, wellness and technology. The event, which will take place next week from June 19th to 23rd, is being hosted by the University of Pescara, Italy. Numerous presentations, seminars and panel discussions on the mentioned topics are planned, in which, in addition to students and professors, PhD students and researchers will be involved. The INGENIUM alliance will also organize a special Staff Academy workshop to share, exchange and demonstrate selected innovative pedagogical methodologies from the partner universities.
