LETTER OF THANKS FROM PROF. TAKEMASA SAKAGUCHI:

Dear Colleagues at the Medical University of Sofia,

I am writing on behalf of the four faculty members from Hiroshima University who had the privilege of visiting the Medical University of Sofia from February 10 to 17, 2025, as part of our ongoing Erasmus+ exchange program.

First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff of the Erasmus+ Program Office and the Department of Public Health at the Medical University of Sofia for the exceptionally warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to us throughout our stay.

Upon our arrival, we were honored to be invited to an official dinner, which provided a wonderful opportunity for us to begin our visit in the most collegial and welcoming atmosphere. During the following two days, our faculty members — Professor Norio Sakai, Professor Kenta Moriwaki, Professor Shinya Takahashi, and myself, Professor Takemasa Sakaguchi — delivered lectures to your students and had the pleasure of engaging with them in meaningful academic exchanges. We were truly impressed by their enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity.

…………..

Now that we have returned to Japan and settled back into our routines, we find ourselves reflecting fondly on the many memories created during this visit. We are deeply grateful for everything that was done to make our stay so enriching and enjoyable.

We look forward to continuing and further developing our collaborative relationship under the Erasmus+ program, and we hope to welcome colleagues from the Medical University of Sofia to Hiroshima in the near future.

With warmest regards and deepest appreciation,

Takemasa SAKAGUCHI, M.D., Ph.D.
