The Academic Council of MU-Sofia approved a schedule for admission of foreign citizens for medical students for the academic year 2021/2022.
Admission of EU and EEA nationals and the Swiss Confederation:
Deadline for acceptance of documents: from 15.07.2021 to 08.09.2021. Competitive exam in English, Biology and Chemistry – 11.09.2021 / Saturday /
Announcement of the results of the competitive exam – September 13th, 2021
Note: If one of the components of the exam is not passed, the exam is considered failed. The results of the written papers are final and not subject to re-evaluation!
Placement – 14.09.2021
Admission of foreign nationals from non-EU and EEA countries and the Swiss Confederation / third countries /:
Acceptance of documents: from 01.06.2021 to 30.09.2021
Competitive exam in English, Biology and Chemistry in English – 09.10.2021 only for candidates who have received a type D visa and have arrived in the country by 07.09.2020. Those who arrive after this date shall be enrolled in a preparatory school year in the Department of Language Training and Sports / DEOS / at the Medical University – Sofia in English or in Bulgarian groups depending on their choice.
Announcement of the results of the competitive exam – 11.10.2021
Beginning of the school year for students studying in English in the specialties Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy – October 25, 2021
Winter semester of academic 2021/2022 year: 25.10.2021 – 11.02.2022
Fees for administrative services for admission of foreign citizens:
Fee for submission of documents – BGN 70. Paid to the cash desk of MU-Sofia, Rectorate.
Price of the Manual for self-preparation in Biology and Chemistry – BGN 30.00. Paid to the cash desk of MU-Sofia, Rectorate.
Fee for a competitive exam in English, Biology and Chemistry – BGN 400. To be deposited to the cash desk of DEOS.
The written papers shall be checked and evaluated by a commission of two DEOS lecturers.
* The Rector of MU-Sofia will not enter into contracts with companies and individuals for recruitment of students for the new 2021/2022 academic year.
