At a solemn ceremony, in the hall of the new academic building of the branch of Medical University-Sofia “Prof. Dr. Ivan Mitev ”in Vratsa, were awarded the diplomas of 128 students from the 2018 graduation year. This year, 56 nurses, 18 midwives and 25 occupational therapists are graduating from the university, bachelor degree. 32 Professionals with profiles: Health and Diet and Medical Cosmetics received their Master’s Degree Certificate.
The rector of the Medical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Victor Zlatkov, greeted the graduates. In his speech, he assured the young healthcare professionals that the Vratsa branch remains a priority of MU-Sofia. He wished them to pursue their dreams and be responsible in the highly humane profession they have chosen.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Tihomira Zlatanova, the Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine Prof. Filchev, the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Public Health Prof. Krasimir Vizev, representatives of the academic management of the higher educational institution, .-Mayor of Vratsa Municipality Petya Dolapchieva, Mayor of the Municipal Council Rumen Antov, teachers and parents.
The graduates’ diplomas were awarded by the rector Prof. Dr. Viktor Zlatkov and Assoc. Prof. Pavlinka Dobrilova, director of the branch in Vratsa.
This autumn, the educational process takes place in the former building of the chemical technical school, where were invested over BGN 6 million, and this investment has made the branch in Vratsa one of the most modern higher education institutions in the region, which offers modern conditions for training of health care specialists. During the current academic year, over 400 students study at the higher education institution in Vratsa.
