The competitive examination will be held in English and will include basic knowledge and terminology in biology, chemistry and anatomy.
The examination consists of five tasks:
General biology terms to be matched with the correct definition.
Questions with four answers, of which only one is correct. Grammatical and lexical knowledge in everyday phrases is assessed.
Medical terms that need to be paired with terms that patients understand. The lexical culture of the candidates is checked.
A text on a general medical topic with ten possible answers that candidates must choose according to the context from a suggested list of words. Reading Comprehension, as well as lexical and grammatical knowledge, are tested.
Medically oriented sentences in which candidates have to insert the most appropriate words from a suggested list of four options each.
The examination is considered passed if the result is over 65 p. (out of a possible 100 points).
The Faculty of Public Health “Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD” provides 4-year training in English for nurses. The program is for foreign citizens, with an entrance exam in English, a paid form of study. The course includes pre-clinical, clinical training and a pre-graduate internship in university hospitals.
The training ends with the passing of state examinations, and students who successfully pass them acquire a bachelor’s diploma.
